I felt this was a good time to talk about the painting Guernica. It has been hailed as the most important artwork of the twentieth century.

How silly. I think it is the perfect background to discuss war. If war is being considered as an option, then everyone should be aware of its negative consequences. It is important to remind politicians that while they relax in their townhouses, people are getting blown up. Regardless of whether a war is just or not, it is foolish to hide possible reminders of the "dirty" aspects of war. Besides, that painting is pretty cool-looking.
