I spent some time changing the journal privacy a bit. You now select from three options: Public, Private, and Fort Knox. Public and Private work as before. Fort Knox is basically a paranoia thing. Since we do not use SSL, it is possible, however unlikely, that someone could eavesdrop and see all private journal entries that are pulled across the web. Moreover, these entries most likely reside somewhere in browser caches. That represents two ways that someone could potentially read what should be something for mokeys eyes only.
Granted, this is the height of paranoia. Realistically, is anyone with the technical resources needed going to care about your journal enough to attempt to discover the private entries? I think not. With Fort Knox, no one can view your entries except for you. And right now you can only view them by clicking the Edit link. Note that this feature is not intended to prevent all mokeys from viewing the entry. Me, Ryan, and Chris (and therefore Heather) all have access to the database and can easily look up the journal entry there. So do NOT use Fort Knox with the intention of keeping the entry from other mokeys. Use Fort Knox to minimize and control the number of times the entry is sent across the web.
Since I am pretty much the only mokey who is paranoid about privacy and who tends to push the boundries of decency and private thought in my journal, I envision that this will be a Ross-specific feature.
