Davis Winter Vacation
Day 1 and 2
The first day was driving, then Savannah. We stayed at a nice hotel in
Savannah that wouldn't let us park our own car. You had to use the
valet service, which irritated all of us, since we didn't want to go
through the hassle of tipping a valet whenever we wanted a car.
So, we walked. Here's me being slightly drunk in the historic area:
Notice that the steps I'm standing on are really frickin steep. I found
that odd.
The next day, we spent the whole day driving, which meant Ross and I
playing Moonbase Commander in the back with a crossover cable. I didn't
take any pictures this day, cause we were just driving. I did take a few
of the view from the hotel room before we left, and did some more GIMP
compositing to produce the following:
Thats pretty much it for now. I'm writing this on the train to Montreal,
after being nice and drunk off of some whiskey we smuggled onto the
train. I met a high school sports news guy, who was a really nice guy,
and the author of a book about tourist things to do in New York, so it
was pretty eventful. Also met some guy trying to have a long distance
relationship when he's 19, and restrained myself from saying:
"Dude, its not gonna work."
